We are officially in the holiday spirit, y’all! We’re grinning from ear to ear over all the joy, laughter, and fun that took place at Holiday Village at Homestead Manor this past weekend. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day or a better turnout to make this year’s event the most successful in its history! We wanted to share the highlights with you in case you didn’t get to attend (or if you want to relive it — we don’t blame you!)
We were so excited to welcome more than 4,000 people onto our property for the event. We started off Saturday morning with a full crowd looking to find Christmas gifts and enjoy the festivities. The Donut Distillery food truck was on site to cure every shopper’s sweet tooth, and the Dan’s Gourmet Mac and Cheese food truck and Bluegrass Kettle Masters Kettle Korn added delicious options for shoppers to munch on as well.
29 local vendors, including Chickpeas, Inc., EKKO Candle Co, Great Escape Coffee, Sistas at Heart, Southern Jerky Company, Tria Herbs, and Sweetwater Jam, surrounded the barn with products all grown, raised, made, or baked within 50 miles of the property. Shoppers had the opportunity to purchase items such as hand poured candles, wooden artwork, homemade bone broth, handmade jewelry, pickled vegetables, and so much more. S’mores by the firepit were a huge success, and our hot cocoa, cider, and cash bar were big hits, too!
While the parents were able to shop around and knock items off their Christmas shopping lists, the kids had their own activities to enjoy. We had stations for the kiddos to write their own letters to Santa, get creative with holiday coloring sheets, and even make their own candy cane ornaments. D&H Railroad offered the youngsters rides around our property all day on their express train! Santa even made an appearance in the early afternoon and hung around to get photos with the kids and take Christmas list requests. Don’t worry, we were sure to give him milk and cookies! If you took a photo with Santa Claus on Saturday, you can find all of those photos here!
We cannot thank our friends and neighbors in Thompson’s Station enough for all of the support we receive for this event every year. Holiday Village has become an integral part of the Thompson’s Station community during the holidays, and we’re already looking forward to next year! We also want to thank our sponsors for their support in making it happen: Renasant Bank, Gordon Food Service, Installations Inc., Southern Events, and BIGR Media.
Happy holidays from the Homestead Manor family to yours!
