Marcia Franks vision for Homestead Manor Plantation began in 2003 with a prayer to God asking for His guidance for what His plan was for the second half of her life. The Lord led her to Christian women who had developed what they called their “Tea Ministry”. Since that time Marcia has studied tea, but most importantly studied women’s ministry and how she could minister to women. With the opening of Homestead Manor Plantation, Marcia is also beginning “Greatest Gift Ministry”, her ministry to women through tea.

Greatest Gift Ministry’s mission statement is: “Effective ministries that will lead people to seek God’s Word, apply it, and to share it through their daily lives as they live their God given purpose and do His will in their lives.” “I have come to do the will of the Father.” Deuteronomy 6:5

Marcia Franks will be starting a “Greatest Gift Ministry” study for women Wednesday morning, February 3, 2010 at 9:30 that will last one hour. The eight week study will be a discussion of Joel O’Steen’s book “Become a Better You”. Each week will be a study of “The 7 Keys to Improving Your Life Every Day”. Discussions will center on:

       1. Keep Pressing Forward
       2. Be Positive Toward Yourself
       3. Develop Better Relationships
       4. Form Better Habits
       5. Embrace the Place Where You Are
       6. Develop Your Inner Life
       7. Stay Passionate About Life
